I felt like sharing something for Valentines Day. I think sometimes the hardest person to love is yourself so I wrote something about doing that. The piece is based on something I wrote when I was in school. I've definitely had to rewrite the original poem as it was embarrassingly angst, but there was a line that stood out. Those who've watched my TED talk are likely familiar with the words "I will love myself despite the ease with which I lean toward the opposite." 

        I think Valentines can get us feeling down if we're going solo, but too often we put greater pressure on ourselves by thinking we can't be whole or complete by ourselves. For your consideration I offer this reflection called Lean Toward the Opposite. It's a longer piece than a lot of my recent ones.
