Shane Koyczan’s childrens book, To This Day, has been listed in the 2015 Cooperative Children’s Book Center Choices List. CCBC Choices is a best-of-the-year list created annually by the librarians of the Cooperative Children’s Book Center and published by the Friends of the CCBC Inc. CCBC Choices 2015 is a fully annotated listing of 259 books published in 2014 for birth through high school and recommended by the CCBC professional staff.

A new art exhibition is coming to the Ayden Gallery, featuring work inspired by Shane’s novel in verse, ‘Stickboy’. This show is in association with Vancouver Opera and will feature some incredible artistic talent whose work will focus on the subject of bullying. 

Shane will be in attendance on opening night, October 17th.

Visiting Hours was Shane Koyczan’s first full-length collection of poetry. Originally published by Mother Press Media in 2005, which he co-founded, the book has since had three editions through House of Parlance Media. Visiting Hours is a compilation of poetry/spoken word pieces that delve into the intricacies of human emotion.
